Our primary service at Platonium is bookkeeping and payroll services for local Cape Town and surrounding area businesses. The months of January and February are the busiest for payroll balancing and producing T4 and other information slips. Personal income tax services are available, particularly from February to April...but only in exceptional circumstances and upon personal request.

At competitive prices, our Professional Bookkeeping Services are geared toward all small and medium-sized businesses (including home offices and the self-employed). Our bookkeeping and accounting services are usually provided off-site (at ours).

Arrangement made off-site. You supply the required paperwork, and we manage the data with our computer system and software. When the paperwork is finished, it will be returned to you.

One of our primary goals is to design simple systems for you. Controls that are adaptable. Costs are based on what you believe you can afford. And timely financial data, such as monthly, quarterly, or annual statements, to keep you on top of your business, where you belong. For far too long, small businesses have had to deal with the issues of time-consuming and costly financial reporting.

The basic bookkeeping service is intended for small businesses that receive and deposit their own revenue and pay their own bills. They only need bookkeeping services to total and reconcile their accounts for income tax purposes. If you require additional services not listed here, please see our full bookkeeping service. As your specific needs dictate, we can incorporate any of those services into the basic service.

The basic bookkeeping service package includes:

Totalling of your revenue and expenses:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will maintain records of your revenue and expenses from your receipts.
Reconciliation of Bank Statements
Year-end financial statements:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will provide year-end financial statements for income tax reporting.
Income tax filing:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will complete and file your income tax return based on the financial statements prepared.

We will handle your computerized bookkeeping, allowing you to focus on what you do best: running your business. Allow us to focus on what we do best: bookkeeping and accounting. Simply bring in your check stubs, deposits, and bank statements, and we will prepare a Profit and Loss Statement as well as a Balance Sheet for you.

Our Full-Service Bookkeeping option includes not only all of the basic bookkeeping options but also the following benefits.

Accounts Payable:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will manage your accounts payable to ensure your bills are paid in a timely manner while making the most profitable use of vendor terms.
Accounts Receivable:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will invoice your customers and manage the collection of funds as required.
- Platonium Bookkeeping can receive your payments and deposit them directly into your bank account.
Reconciliation of Bank Statements:
- Send your bank statements to Platonium Bookkeeping for reconciliation or we can set up to have them delivered directly to Platonium Bookkeeping
Year-end financial statements:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will provide year-end financial statements for income tax reporting. (See Year-end Preparation note below)
Payroll:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will manage your payroll and maintain your payroll records.
- Platonium Bookkeeping will calculate deductions, pay your employees, and remit your source deductions to the appropriate government agency.
- Remit your payments to WSIB
Vendor and Customer Files:
- Platonium Bookkeeping will maintain a record of your vendor and customer information for all your business contacts.

Year-end Preparation

Financial statements, schedules, and backups are included in the working paper file. This includes the prepaid schedule, the capital asset schedule, and any other schedules that are required.

We can help you save money by preparing a working paper file for your accountant. Having us prepare a year-end file relieves you of the burden of answering your accountant's questions. You will also save money because your accountant will not have to prepare the schedules.
